Meet James

“The Trans Coach”

Hi!
I’m James and before I jump into my why, what, and how, I wanted to let you know I am a Dad, plant guy, vegan, who has the super power of ADHD! I’ve had a passion for public speaking and helping people since I was 10 years old and am so grateful I get to do this as my career.

My Why:

I am acutely aware of the depression, anxiety, and suicide that happens in the LGBTQ+ community because I experienced it first had. Two years into my transition I was on the phone with the suicide hotline for days because I had no idea how to cope or build my mental health up. I firmly believe when we focus on empathy, coping skills, and safe communities for all, we will see a shift in those struggles. We will have empowered and thriving individuals.

My What:

I transitioned 8 years ago and use that wisdom to teach Transgender individuals how to find themselves again and how to cope with a transitioning in todays society. I also work with companies, schools, hospitals, and many other industries how to be safe environments for LGBTQ+ individuals. My goal is to use coaching, speeches, and tangible tools to build a kinder future.

My How:

Empathy. Whether it’s a coaching session, a speech, or a Reel on Instagram, my goal is to bridge the gap from anxiety to understanding. The anxiety an Ally may feel about new terms or the stress someone feels when they finally realize they are Transgender. When we have empathy for others and ourselves, we create a safer environment for learning and growth.
